Fernanda Gattinoni was born in 1906 in the Italian city
Cocquio Trevisago.
Fernanda Gattinoni worked first in 1923 for the prestigious
Molineaux London fashion house in Italy and later came to be the
head of Ventura's cratieve design department.
In 1945 Fernanda Gattinoni opens her own studio on the
Via Marche where becomes become famous because of her designs
of exuberant wedding dresses and the re-introduction of
the so-called Empire style.
The fashion house Gattinoni counts many famous people to her
clientele including Eva Perón, Gina Lollobrigida,
Princess Margaret, Ingrid Bergman, Angie Dickinson, Jackie Kennedy,
Audrey Hepburn, Anna Magnani, etc.
Fernanda Gattinoni died on 2 november 2002
